Former US Air Force Officer Claims US Personnel Shot 7-Foot Reptilian Beings After an Alleged UFO Crash

The former intelligence officer said his account was based on reported insider testimony, while acknowledging that the claims remain unverified and unsupported by public physical evidence

Former US Air Force and intelligence officer David Grusch has claimed that US personnel shot and killed alleged reptilian beings after an alleged UFO crash, saying the creatures had survived the incident and posed a threat to people at the scene.

Grusch made the claims during a 30 September appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, where he discussed alleged encounters involving several types of non-human beings. The account is unverified, and Grusch stressed that he had never personally seen the reptilian creatures he was describing.

Instead, he said he was relying on accounts from people he said were present at the alleged events.

The beings were described as more than seven feet tall, with a powerful, gorilla-like build and scaly skin. Grusch also linked them to a reported Tic-Tac-shaped craft and said the crash may have involved a conflict between different alleged non-human groups.

His comments go beyond his earlier public testimony about alleged UAP retrieval programmes, but they remain allegations rather than independently established evidence.

David Grusch Describes Alleged Reptilian Encounter

During the podcast, Joe Rogan asked Grusch what supposedly happened to reptilian beings that were alive following an alleged crash. Grusch replied that they were killed and said US personnel had shot them.

When Rogan asked why, Grusch said they had posed a threat. He went on to say that US personnel were injured and that some died during the reported confrontation. Grusch could not provide an exact number of casualties and said he wanted people who were actually present to eventually tell their own accounts.

The description of the creatures also came with an important qualification. Grusch attributed the description to another person, saying the beings had been described as at least seven feet tall and had a gorilla-like appearance combined with scales. He added that there were supposedly different types of reptilian beings, with some described as more humanoid.

Grusch further connected the alleged incident to reports of different non-human groups coming into conflict. He said dead grey beings were reportedly found at the same crash site as the living reptilians, prompting Rogan to ask whether the groups had been fighting each other.

Grusch agreed that this appeared to be what had happened, while acknowledging how unusual the account sounded. He said his broader claims were based on insider conversations, classified information and audio-visual material, rather than his personally witnessing the alleged crash or beings.

He also associated the reptilian reports with Tic-Tac-shaped craft, a description that has featured prominently in discussions surrounding the US military's unexplained aerial encounters. Grusch's account should not, however, be treated as confirmation that any particular unidentified object was operated by extraterrestrial beings.

AARO Has Found No Evidence Confirming Extraterrestrial Technology

The allegations arrive against a very different official record. The US Department of Defense's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, or AARO, said in its 2024 historical review that it found no empirical evidence that the US government or private companies had been reverse-engineering extraterrestrial technology.

The report also said no US government investigation or official review had confirmed that a UAP represented extraterrestrial technology.

AARO has continued to provide a formal route for current and former government personnel with direct knowledge of UAP-related programmes to submit information, including classified material through secure channels. Its reporting process specifically asks whether a person has first-hand knowledge of a UAP-related government programme or activity.

Grusch's latest comments therefore sit within a continuing debate over what evidence exists behind allegations of recovered non-human technology and biological material. He continues to maintain that information he received points to alleged programmes involving recovered craft and non-human material.

The reptilian claim itself is particularly dependent on testimony rather than publicly available physical evidence. No bodies, crash-site material or publicly released footage independently establishing the existence of such creatures has been presented as part of his account.

Similar claims have also been made by astrophysicist Eric Davis, who has worked as a contractor and consultant in the UAP field. In 2026, Davis said he had seen records and evidence that he interpreted as documenting at least four alleged types of non-human beings, including reptilian forms.

He has also said the reptilian and insectoid descriptions were among the least credible categories in the material he had encountered. Those claims have likewise not been independently established.

For now, the most concrete development is that Grusch has publicly described what he says are accounts from alleged insiders, including an alleged confrontation in which, according to Grusch, US personnel and supposed non-human beings were killed.

Whether those accounts can eventually be tested against physical evidence or first-hand testimony remains unresolved.
